Brother Antonio "Tony" Rosalez

Brothers and Sisters, 

I am sorry to inform you that Brother Antonio "Tony" Rosalez, retired member of Burlington System Division Lodge 1074, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Obituary - 

Funeral services for Antonio Rosalez, 66 year old Sheridan resident who passed away Sunday at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming, will be held Saturday February 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Tom Saur officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home chapel on Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A private family interment will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Antonio’s memory may be made to the Johnson County Family YMCA in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Antonio Rosalez was born on September 13, 1953 in Cameron, Texas to Silverio and Alvina Rosalez. The family moved to Basin, Wyoming when he was in elementary school and he later worked in the beet fields. He enjoyed basketball and baseball in school. The family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he was married to Zill Cantrell and they made their home in Clearmont, Wyoming and later back to Sheridan. In the early 1970’s he went to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad where he worked for over 40 years, retiring in 2016. After his retirement he continued living in Sheridan until his death.

Antonio enjoyed the fishing, listening to music, riding his Harley, spending time outdoors and being with his family. He was a gentle, loving, caring man who would help anyone.

He is survived by one son Alonzo Rosalez and his wife Tina of Buffalo; two brothers, Paul and J.R. Rosalez both of Sheridan; three sisters, Mary Lou Rosalez of Sheridan, Diane Rosalez of Lodge Grass, Montana and Stella Rosalez of Billings, Montana; and two grandchildren, Cantrell and Johnathan Rozalez both of Buffalo. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one son, Josh Rosalez, two brothers Alonzo and Arthur Rosalez; and two sisters, Angie and Molly Rosalez.
